My written work has been published widely around the world. I began writing about Olympic sports, especially long-distance running and elite marathoning, in 1999 for the running journal Marathon & Beyond. From there, I began covering elite athletics at the Boston Marathon in April 2000 as a contributor to Runner's World. After returning to academic science as a second career, I expanded my work to include explanatory science writing for general audiences. I'm currently learning how to make TikTok science videos, of all things. More to come!
