CORPORATE TRAINING AND SPEAKING
HELLO!
(Are you looking for M. Nicole Nazzaro? You found me! I’m changing my professional byline as of April 2025 but everything else is staying the same: email, phone, website URL, etc. Welcome!)
WHAT I DO:
For editors: I'm a scientist and a published writer specializing in life sciences, oncology, astronomy, chemistry, and related fields. My work has been published by Sky & Telescope magazine, the American Chemical Society, and Fred Hutch Cancer Center, among many other publications.
For science and technology organizations: I work with your company on short- to medium-term projects to help bring your brand’s message to life with communications consulting, white paper development, and go-to-market campaigns.
For professional organizations: I'm a speaker and corporate consultant working with people want to deliver their best, most meaningful work—and go home healthy at the end of the day.
ABOUT ME:
I went back to school after a 20-year Olympic sportswriting career to earn a B.Sc. degree in biochemistry at the University of Washington. (It's never too late.) I live in Edmonds, Washington on the shores of the beautiful Puget Sound (where the photo of me above was taken) with my son and husband (who took the photo!).
WHAT I DO WHEN I’M NOT WORKING:
I'm a middle-of-the-pack distance runner clawing her way back to marathon race shape after taking time off to raise a young child (who is starting to look like quite a runner himself!). You'll find me in local races in 2025 around Seattle, and in regional races in Washington State and Vancouver, Canada. I'll be the one bringing the music and dancing with the folks who came for the free food.

WORDS. My work has been published in the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Runner's World, Sky & Telescope, Immunology and Cell Biology, the San Francisco Chronicle, American Track & Field, and many other publications. Here are some of my favorite pieces.
MULTIMEDIA. I studied documentary film and television production at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California-Berkeley. I use both still photography and videography to tell compelling stories. Online portfolio coming soon.
COACHING. I work with individuals and groups who want to prioritize their health in order to make their strongest contributions to our shared environment. I created Health Centered Leadership to spread the message that we create our best work in the world when we prioritize the health of all stakeholders.
CONSULTING. I use my more than twenty years of experience working with Olympic athletes, corporate leaders, marketing professionals and technical and scientific decision makers to help solve problems for C-suite leaders who want to build organizations that work well and tell their stories effectively in the marketplace.
